Our story began in 1988, when Karen Thompson, a long-time local business owner, opened her first store, Lace Silhouettes Lingerie, in Peddler's Village. What started as a single boutique has since grown into ten retail brands across sixteen stores throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and most recently, Maryland.
Karen’s guests directly inspired her idea for Cotton Company. Shoppers at Lace Silhouettes Lingerie frequently asked for cotton pajamas, sparking her vision to open a store that sold all things cotton. In the fall of 1993, Karen brought that vision to life with the opening of Cotton Company's flagship store in Peddler's Village, Pennsylvania.The store originally sold cotton-only products, such as pajamas, towels, sheets, clothing, and gifts. Karen quickly realized her guests were drawn most to the clothes, leading Cotton Company to evolve into a destination for effortlessly stylish, everyday fashion.
For over thirty years, Cotton Company has offered trend-conscious looks from workdays to weekends, always striving to curate the best selection of contemporary clothing for the modern woman.
