Random Acts of Kindness day
Random Acts of Kindness day:
February 17th marked Random Acts of Kindness Day, and in spirit of that holiday, local business Lace Silhouettes Lingerie, who has been committed to supporting the community through philanthropic endeavors for over 35 years, knew this was the perfect day to spread more kindness in Bucks County.
Lace Silhouettes Lingerie donated a total of $5,000 to five separate organizations around Bucks County, each touching different aspects that are involved in bettering the community. One of the five benefactors of this donation was The Herald Foundation, receiving $1,000 to their foundation that is committed to “keeping journalism alive in our local community,” and serving as a local hub for community programs.
Along with The Herald Foundation, Lace Silhouettes Lingerie donated $1,000 to the Midway Volunteer Fire Department, who are committed to protecting the lives and property of our local community; the Lenape Valley Foundation, who focuses on providing aid to those in need of mental health, intervention, and disability services. The Friends of the Delaware Canal, who help restore and preserve Bucks County’s natural beauty; and Family Services of Bucks County, an organization involved in support services from children to senior citizens.
LSL Brands Founder Karen Thompson believes that “it is imperative to be able to support every aspect of what makes our community such a great place to live.” Through these donations and the consistent support of the community at large, Karen Thompson and her team are making a big difference in Bucks County.
