National Wear red day
Spreading awareness for heart disease
Causing 1 in 3 deaths every year, cardiovascular disease in women is something not a lot of people discuss, but they should. Every year on the first Friday in February marks National Wear Red Day, which is focused on increasing the dialogue about heart disease in women and raising money for further research.
Each year, Lace Silhouettes Lingerie and its family of stores in Lahaska, PA, Cape May, NJ, and Princeton, NJ show their support of the Go Red for Women Organization by wearing red on National Wear Red Day. Their aim is to not only educate their community but support the initiative through a multifaceted donation. In February of 2023, Lace Silhouettes Lingerie gave an initial donation of $1,000 to the American Heart Association and raised further funds by donating a portion of bra sales from that following weekend to the organization. In addition to these generous donations, for every staff member wearing red on Friday, Lace Silhouettes Lingerie donated an additional $5 per employee to the charity.
For over 35 years, LSL Brands has been committed to supporting important causes like this one. They encourage everyone to do their part and save lives by educating themselves and spreading awareness about heart disease.
