The power of good shoes
Good shoes take us places. However, not everyone can afford quality shoes that can make the distance. Local business Fox & Holly in Peddler’s Village consistently preaches the importance of good shoes at their shoe salon. When they discovered the charity Soles 4 Souls through a guest of theirs, they wanted to help the cause.
In order to help Soles 4 Souls in their mission to put shoes on everyone’s feet in the nation, the shop hosted “The Best Shoes in Town,” a week-long celebration focused on shoes.
At this event, the team at Fox & Holly ran a try-on event to raise funds for Soles 4 Souls. For every pair of shoes tried on, LSL Brands donated $1 to the charity. Not only were guests raising money when they tried on shoes, but they often found a pair from Fox & Holly’s collection to take home with them.
In addition to a monetary donation, Fox & Holly collected over 25 shoe donations throughout the week from their guests, which will be donated to the charity to help others enjoy the wonders of a good pair of shoes.
Soles 4 Souls is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty through donations of both shoes and clothing to underserved areas in the United States and worldwide. Through their work, they have donated well over one million shoes to help break the cycle. They continue to help serve the community and planet in a plethora of environmentally friendly ways.
Fox & Holly is thankful to the community who came together at their week-long event and participated in helping their chosen charity.
