A Community Blessing
It’s true what they say—that a lot of great start-ups are born in somebody’s garage, and for The Blessing Shop, that humble backstory is true. In 2013, “a simple yet radical idea” was born in the garage of a church on DeKalb Street in Norristown. Their goal was to provide clothing to anyone in need, free of charge, and that is exactly what they have been doing since 2013.
The shop is filled with clothing items for men, women, and children from donors throughout the state. These generous donations are a huge reason why this non-profit has been able to thrive and help its community every day. Fox & Holly loves supporting the local community and is constantly getting involved with new charities, thanks to the help of their customers. They were introduced to this non-profit by one of their customers a few years back and have made several donations since.
In 2023, Fox & Holly was ecstatic to be able to deliver a truckload of clothing items to help The Blessing Shop continue its great work in the community. Founder Karen Thompson, along with her family and team, have been continuously invested in supporting their community through philanthropic endeavors for over 35 years, and they look forward to continuing to support The Blessing Shop and all the great work they’ve done for many years to come.
